Haiga 877 - Saki Inui haiku 1

Haiku by Saki Inui (Japan). Artwork and Eng. translation by myself.

Miss Saki Inui is a sophomore at Waseda Univ. in Tokyo. Her parents are Ban'ya Natsuishi and Sayumi Kamakura, both widely known haijin. As in a Japanese saying, "The offspring of the frog is the frog", Saki has been into haiku and some of hers are already published in nation-wide haiku magazine.

The first time I met her, she was in her sixth grade, and the next time was just recent, this April, at WHA Japan Conference, where she read some of her haiku. She has inherited her father's build and has grown bigger than her mother. As for haiku, hers seems to carry similar flavor as her mother's.
